Our mission is to provide a supportive community for all of the teens in our parish from grades 7-12 which encourages a deeper relationship with God and draws them into participation in our Catholic parish within a positive social, spiritual and service-oriented framework.
Here at St. Agnes Parish, we offer Youth Group activities for the teens in the parish that includes the grade school and CCD program.
We incorporate a spiritual, social, and service oriented aspect into everything we do. We also take part in the many wonderful activities that the archdiocese has to offer, like summer camps, music festivals, junior high rallies, and retreats.
Because our middle school students are required to perform community service as part of their Catholic education, we find fun and creative ways to accomplish that goal.
In addition to that, we do lots of other service projects, and students from the parish (past and present) attend the St. Mary’s Food Kitchen every month of the year. The teens in Youth Group are always willing to help out around the parish as well, with almost every school and parish event.
We also gather at least twice a month for youth group meetings. These are held on Sunday evenings from 6:30pm –8:00pm and sometimes we study a spiritual lesson, and other times we just get together for the social connection.
It’s important that we give our young teens a safe place to meet outside of school that parents can feel good about.
St. Agnes is a wonderful warm community, and it is a joy for me to work here as Youth Minister to organize and facilitate as many activities as possible to connect our young teens to their Catholic faith, and reinforce the outstanding religious education that we are so blessed to have here in this school.
