Parish Ministries
Everything that we have, are and value is a gift from God. Through Catholic stewardship, we strive for ways to use those gifts to do God’s work here on Earth and return those gifts with increase to the Lord.
Please, consider the gifts you can give freely in the following areas:
Prayer
Pray regularly for God’s work.
Presence
Attend Mass consistently.
Gifts of Time and Talent
Please don’t be shy about getting involved in parish life. Putting stewardship into action changes our relationship with each other and the world. Take time to visit the Ministries section of our Web site and let someone know in which areas you would like to serve.
Financial Gifts
While St. Agnes is, above all else, a spiritual institution, it has many material needs. The level of out members’ financial contributions has a direct impact on what we can accomplish as a community. We are responsible for this parish, just as we are responsible in our own individual families. We need to take care of what has been entrusted to us. There are many opportunities to share financial treasures to strengthen and nurture the growth of out Catholic community. Each family registered at St. Agnes should receive a packet of stewardship envelopes in the mail each month. If you do not receive these envelopes, please call the Rectory.
Caring
Each month, usually the 30th, we gather the food donated by parishioners and take it to the Food Kitchen at 6th & Nebraska in Kansas City, Kansas. There we will prepare the food and begin serving by 11:15 a.m., finishing at about 1:00 p.m. We serve anywhere from about 250 to 450 meals per month. For more information please contact Rita Wilkus at 913.236.5619.

The Hand Bell Choir is open to anyone who can read music, at least minimally, and is willing to experience music in a different way. Hand Bells meet Monday nights from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and perform at 2 Masses (12:00 noon) per month. Other performances include the Christmas Eve Mass and Easter.
The Children's Choir is open to all children grades 4 through 8. Rehearsals are held on Tuesday afternoons from 3:20 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., in the Music Room in the Parish Center. The Choir sings at Children's Masses and performs at a special Christmas and Easter Masses.
